Thats actually good, since due to this i for the first time ventured into the Plugins area and discovered a whole new world.
All software made in Open Source should be made pluggable only.
Pluggable Open Source will always be better than Open source since that means even more freedom.
maybe put a notice that if you can't see a feature you want, check the plugins for many more features?
A list of features available somewhere else in a program doesn't seem like it scales. And as the previous commenter said, there are lots of fantastic features included in the default plugins.
What about allowing plug-ins to add elements to the preferences dialog? That way the user doesn't have to look around "weird" places (I'm looking at you, FF3|Tools|Add-ons) to find what they need, and you can use the space you want to allocate for the reminder to present the actual option (less clicks, less useless information, etc.)
I have A LOT of contacts in my Buddy list, and it would be great if i could reduce the size of the icons in the list to fit more contacts in the screen height. I'd love to see an aditional funpidgin's option for that!
