Feature request: Re-enable operating system info in buddy details

Hello all,
i really like to show/see mine/peoples OS in the buddy info.
Kopete, psi and others i think use that feature too, and sometimes it helps me when i see what OS(pc, kernel) my pal just is on ( if his client sends this info )

Someone filed an "oh scary security ddos or whatever attack alert"-bug-post and devs followed that, i really can't follow this argument.
I wrote a patch for compiling pidgin , which re-enables this feature, it's still in the code , just commented out :

Maybe someone else likes the idea to have it back like it used to be.
